TECH PRODUCTS, INC. has been making quality identification products for over half a century. We were the first company to manufacture metal, utility pole tags with two contrasting colors. They were developed because a distribution engineer from an electric utility needed his pole tags to be visible from longer distances.
In 1986, the desire to constantly improve existing products and develop new, more technologically advanced products induced us to develop a new identification system for signs, cable markers and pole tags. The objective was to make a tag or sign which is visible and legible for the duration of a wooden utility pole’s life, thus eliminating the high cost of replacing faded, illegible tags and signs. The results were a two or three-color injection-molded identification system … EVERLAST.
Since its establishment in 1948, Kenneth W. Nelson, the founder of Tech, tried to become a manufacturer of
products that would be better, stronger & last longer.
Tech’s corporate mentality is to develop products that benefit our customers.
Underwriters Laboratories tested the EVERLAST markers and signs in an Accelerated Weatherometer for 17,000 hours … 8 times the standard outdoors durability tests. The result: No change in color contrast or long-range legibility. In fact, for over 15 years that Tech has been making and selling
EVERLAST pole tags, our first customer, Delaware Electric, is still using them.
TECH PRODUCTS, INC. continues to improve on our older products like the original two-color metal tags and develop new products that will help our customers save costs by using the longest lasting products the market has to offer.
